The Louis Vuitton Papillon Trunk is crafted in black Epi leather with gold-tone hardware. The original Papillon, designed by Henri Racamier in 1966, takes its name — “butterfly” in French — from its cylindrical silhouette, and has remained one of the house’s most beloved pieces for over half a century. The Trunk version reinterprets that iconic shape drawing on the house’s classic trunks: gold metal rivets and an S-lock closure evoke the craftsmanship of Louis Vuitton luggage, while the interlaced chain adds a more contemporary touch.
