Description
The Hermès Birkin 35 is crafted in chocolate brown taurillon leather. The story of its origin is as famous as the bag itself: it was born in 1984 from a chance encounter on a London–Paris flight between Jane Birkin and Jean-Louis Dumas, then chairman of Hermès, after she lamented she couldn’t find a functional leather bag suited to her life as a new mother. The result was this trapeze-shaped silhouette with double handles, touret closure, padlock, keys, and clochette, which over the years has become the fashion world’s most recognizable status symbol.
